Команда психологів з Великобританії, США і Канади провела опитування серед молодих людей, які на той момент були парою. Результати дослідження, які опублікувало видання Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, показали, що спільний перегляд фільмів і серіалів підвищує якість відносин закоханих.

Найбільший вплив спільний перегляд серіалів має на ті пари, у яких немає спільних друзів. І справа не тільки в додаткових годинах, проведених разом на затишній дивані. Спільний зв’язок з персонажами серіалу або фільму може давати парам почуття загальної соціальної ідентичності. Навіть якщо в реальному житті їм не вистачає спільних друзів, – каже експерт.

За словами Сари Гомілліон, поширена думка, що захоплення серіалами людина ізолюється, але насправді – вони зближують. Це, до речі, стосується не тільки перегляду фільмів і серіалів.
