ВООЗ офіційно оголосила про закінчення пандемії коронавірусу

Всесвітня організація охорони здоров’я офіційно скасувала статус пандемії COVID-19.

Про це заявив генеральний директор організації Тедрос Гебрейсус, передає Главком.

За його словами, із пропозицією скасувати статус надзвичайної ситуації в галузі охорони здоров’я до нього звернулися представники ВООЗ.

«Я дослухався до цієї поради і оголошую про закінчення глобальної надзвичайної ситуації у сфері охорони здоров’я, пов’язаної з COVID-19. Але це не означає, що коронавірус більше не становить загрози здоров’ю», – зазначив Гебрейсус.

Він також додав, що з початку пандемії за офіційними даними від COVID-19 померло понад 6,5 мільйонів людей по всьому світу.
