Вчені з’ясували фатальну причину жіночого алкоголізму

Спеціалісти Бостонського медичного університету з’ясували, чому алкоголь становить більшу загрозу жінкам, ніж чоловікам.
Як повідомляють ЗМІ, дослідження показало, що це пов’язано з клітинами головного мозку. Точніше – з темпами їх руйнування.

Алкоголь знищує жіночий мозок набагато швидше.

Для участі в дослідженні вчені залучили 60 осіб – порівну по 30 жінок і 30 чоловіків. Всі вони раніше страждали від алкогольної залежності.

Нейропсихологічна оцінка і МРТ мозку показали, наскільки стать впливає на темпи руйнування головного органу нервової системи під час зловживання алкоголю.

Структурні зміни головного мозку у жінок виявилися більш яскраво виражені. При цьому ураження були зафіксовані навіть через кілька років після того, як людина відмовилася від прийому алкоголю.
