Третина німців та майже стільки ж французів підтримали ідею Сполучених Штатів Європи, з якою раніше виступив лідер німецьких соціал-демократів Шульц.

Такі результати опублікувало видання YouGov. Шульц, екс-президент Європейського парламенту, а сьогодні – лідер соціал-демократів Німеччини, раніше цього місяця запропонував створити конституційний договір про перетворення ЄС на Сполучені Штати Європи до 2025 року.

Згідно з опитуванням YouGov, яке проводилося перед католицьким Різдвом, 30% німецьких респондентів заявили, що вони віддають перевагу ідеї Сполучених Штатів Європи.

Таким чином, Німеччина найбільше підтримала план Шульца серед 7 європейських країн, які брали участь в опитуванні.

Респонденти з Франції також відносно підтримали ідею – “за” висловилися 28%. Найбільш скептично до пропозиції німецького політика ставляться жителі Великобританії.
