Трагедія сталася в селі Лумшори Перечинського району.

Тут у рекреаційній зоні відпочивали гості з Харкова. Як повідомили в Закарпатському обласному управлінні ДСНС, чотирирічний хлопчик був без нагляду, він грався з іншими дітками і впав у чан з водою. На жаль, хлопчика врятувати не вдалося.

Як відомо, у Лумшорах багато закладів для оздоровлення з використанням чанів.
