Сейсмологи попереджають українців про загрозу потужного землетрусу найближчим часом. Найбільш небезпечно, ймовірно, буде на Закарпатті.

Сейсмічна активність, яка зачіпає Закарпаття, зазвичай трапляється раз в 100-120 років, розповів Олександр Кендзьор з Інституту геофізики НАН України, пише Фіртка з посиланням на “Сегодня”.

Останні поштовхи були зафіксовані в 1908 році. Закарпаття – сейсмічно активний регіон, в якому магнітуда катастрофи може досягати позначки 8.

Сейсмологи наголошують – новий землетрус може бути настільки ж потужним, а поштовхи можуть початися в будь-який момент.

До найнебезпечніших ділянок нашої країни сейсмологи зараховують район Зони Вранча – Карпатських гір і захід Одеської області. Там були зафіксовані землетруси інтенсивністю 6-7 балів за 12-бальною шкалою. Епіцентри розташовані у Сваляві, Мукачеві, Ужгороді. Також сейсмічна активність була помічена і на Прикарпатті. Поштовхи силою 6 балів були в Заліщиках та Кам’янці-Бузькій.
