Моделі назвали Pixel і Pixel XL.
Корпорація Google представила перші смартфони, “зовні і всередині” спроектовані її власними зусиллями. Про це пише VentureBeat.

Як і у випадку з відкладеною в довгий ящик лінійкою Nexus, головна ставка зроблена на програмну складову, а не на “залізо”.

Смартфони поставляються з Google Assistant, достукатися до якого можна відомою фразою “OK, Google” або, натиснувши і утримуючи кнопку “Додому”. Асистент може застосовуватися в найрізноманітніших сценаріях, в тому числі, і для взаємодії з додатками Google. Смартфони отримали чотирьохядерний 2.15 GHz процесор Snapgradon 821, 4 Гб оперативної пам’яті, 32 або 128 Гб постійний накопичувач, 12,3-Мп основну і 8-Мп фронтальну камеру.

На відміну від останнього iPhone, тут буде міні-джек. На задній панелі розміщений сканер відбитків пальців. Основний порт – USB-C. Різниця між Pixel і Pixel XL полягає в розмірі екрану (5 дюймів проти 5,5), а також у ємності батареї (2770mAh або 3450mAh). Виробництвом нових смартфонів буде займатися HTC, але на корпусі їх логотипу не буде. Продаватися “пікселі” будуть за ціною 650 доларів за молодшу модель і 770 – за старшу.
