Кум російського президента Володимира Путіна, голова політради партії «Опозиційна платформа – За життя» Віктор Медведчук уперше увійшов до списку 100 найбагатших українців за версією українського Forbes.

Видання оцінило його статки в 620 мільйонів доларів.

Медведчук посів 12-те місце в списку. За даними Forbes, він заробив гроші як підприємець у сферах енергетики, металургії, нерухомого майна та медіа.

Forbes: у червні 2020 року статки Ахметова становили 2,8 млрд доларів. З того часу вони зросли до 7,6 млрд доларів

Найбагатшим українцем Forbes назвав Ріната Ахметова (його статки оцінили в 7,6 мільярда доларів). Друге місце посів Віктор Пінчук, третє – Костянтин Жеваго.

19 лютого РНБО запровадила санкції проти Віктора Медведчука, які ввів у дію указом президент Володимир Зеленський. Раніше того місяця санкції запровадили проти колеги Медведчука по фракції Тараса Козака і телеканалів «112», ZIK та NewsOne, які йому належать.

У партії ОПЗЖ назвали санкції «репресіями» і «знищенням демократії».
