Польща спростила для українців процедуру отримання Карти поляка. Про це повідомила Державна прикордонна служба України.

“Згідно з оновленням, українці можуть подати документи на отримання чи продовження терміну дії Карти поляка на території Польщі. Раніше громадяни України повинні були звертатися до польського консульства в Україні”, — йдеться в повідомленні.

Нові правила набувають чинності з 29 липня.

Карта поляка — це документ, який підтверджує приналежність людини до польської держави і народу поза історичної батьківщини. Ця карта дає право на безоплатне отримання довгострокової візи, легальне працевлаштування без спеціального дозволу на роботу, безкоштовне відвідування всіх музеїв, знижку на проїзд залізницею тощо.

Верховна Рада України на засіданні 19 липня ухвалила закон за яким громадяни Польщі зможуть перебувати на території України впродовж 18 місяців та користуватися усіма правами й свободами, як і громадяни України.
