Підвищення пенсійного віку для працюючих громадян в Україні є одним із способів створення більш сучасної пенсійної системи з кращими виплатами і знаходиться на розгляді в рамках виконання програми розширеного кредитування України з боку МВФ.

Влада погодилася з необхідністю всеосяжної пенсійної реформи для забезпечення самодостатнього розвитку пенсійної системи та можливості отримання кращих пенсій для тих, хто завершує трудову кар’єру.

Таким чином він відповів на прохання прокоментувати нещодавню заяву міністра соціальної політики України, який не погодився з необхідністю підвищення пенсійного віку.
