Кафедральний собор Гвадалахари вважається однією з головних визначних пам’яток Мехіко. Будівництво храму почалося ще в XV столітті, і хоча з тих пір будівлю кілька разів перебудовували, святиня, як і раніше приваблює до себе тисячі парафіян і простих туристів, передає news24.

Віруючі стікаються в храм зі всієї Мексики для того, щоб вклонитися мощам святої Іносенсії — дівчинки, яка 300 років тому була вбита власним батьком.

За легендою, тато малятка був категорично проти того, щоб дочка приймала католицтво. Однак дівчинка не послухалася батька. Вона дуже хотіла вчитися і вступила в католицьку школу. Чоловік розлютився і завдав дочці кілька ударів ножем…

Після смерті Іносенсію зарахували до лику святих, а її мощі залишаються нетлінними по сей день, привертаючи до себе віруючих і туристів.

Нещодавно один з мандрівників відвідав кафедральний собор Гвадалахари і зняв внутрішнє оздоблення на відео. Коли камера зупинилася на обличчі Іносенсії, та відкрила очі!
