Коли Україна стане членом НАТО?

Президент Петро Порошенко заявив, що Україна планує стати членом Північноатлантичного альянсу у найближчі десять років.

Україна з особливою наполегливістю працює над членством у НАТО. Наша мета – у наступному десятиріччі стати членом Альянсу,– наголосив Порошенко.

За його словами, разом з Україною Північноатлантичний альянс став би сильнішим і ефективнішим, ніж сьогодні, а держави НАТО могли би повчитися в України, як протистояти Росії. Адже, коментуючи анексію Криму Москвою у 2014 році, український лідер підкреслив, наразі Росія зруйнувала систему міжнародного порядку після Другої світової війни і тому для системи глобальної безпеки “не існує альтернативи сильному НАТО”.

Окрім того, Порошенко наполіг, що після надання Україні статусу “країни-аспіранта”, тепер потрібен план дій для набуття повного членства в НАТО. “Ми прагнемо отримати цей план дій до кінця 2019 року”, – сказав Президент. Він також додав, що Україна прагне “якнайшвидше” виконати всі вимоги для членства в НАТО і ЄС.
