Українці оптимістично налаштовані щодо економіки, попри корупцію

Оптимізм українців стосовно економічної ситуації в країні поступово зростає. При цьому оцінка ситуації на місцевому рівні виявилась більш позитивною, ніж на загальнодержавному рівні.

Респонденти двадцяти трьох з 24 міст переконані, що економічна ситуація в Україні покращилась за останній рік. В усіх 24 містах, респонденти відзначили покращення економічних ситуації власних домогосподарств.

Як і в попередніх таких опитуваннях, оцінка ситуації на місцевому рівні виявилась більш позитивною, ніж на загальнодержавному рівні. “Це демонструє, що відданість таким реформам, як децентралізація позитивно впливає на країну і означає важливий поступ України на шляху до демократії”, – зазначив регіональний директор з питань Євразії неурядової американської організації International Republican Institute (IRI) Стівен Нікс. Як і в попередніх опитуваннях, більшість українців вказали, що, на їх переконання, країна йде в невірному напрямку. Однак, опитування свідчить потужну підтримку євроінтеграції – більшість опитуваних в 17 з 24 міст висловили підтримку вступу України до Європейського Союзу.

Корупція залишається ключовим проблемним питанням для українців. Респонденти окремо відзначили корупцію в сфері освіти та охорони здоров’я. В середньому 12% респондентів зазначили, що вони сплачували хабарі освітнім установам протягом останніх двох років, 27% стверджують, що сплачували хабарі в закладах охорони зборов’я.
