“Одного разу Стів Джобс сказав, що треба заснувати компанію, яка буде виробляти мою продукцію. Ми не були впевнені, що зможемо продати хоча б 50 комп’ютерів, щоб окупити витрати”, – говорить Стів Возняк, пише Gazeta.ua

1 квітня 1976 року разом зі Стівом Джобсом і Рональдом Уейном заснував американську компанію Apple. Зараз її вважають найдорожчою в світі. Одна акція Apple коштує $167,78.

Возняк в середині 1970-х створив персональні комп’ютери Apple I і Apple II. З них почалась “революція” в цій галузі.

1. Я ріс без грошей. Ще в шкільні роки сказав батьку, що одного разу куплю комп’ютер за $4000. І завдяки цьому зможу програмувати. Мій батько заперечив, що він буде коштувати як будинок. А я відповів – в такому випадку буду жити в квартирі.

2. Я був блискучим інженером. Компанія Hewlett-Packard п’ять разів відхиляла мою ідею створення персонального комп’ютера. Коли вони побачили Apple II, то сказали, що це найкращий продукт.

3. Стів Джобс почав продавати мої винаходи. Протягом п’яти років ми так і працювали: я винаходив, а Джобс – заробляв гроші.

4. Не хочу керувати компанією. Не хочу, щоб люди робили те, що я говорю. Коли ми заснували Apple, я керував інженерним відділом. Стів Джобс вирішив, що він хоче щось значити в світі. І у нього був для цього досвід. Коли ми заснували компанію, він зрозумів, що цього можна досягнути.

5. У мене був великий досвід роботи з комп’ютерами, а у Джобса – ні. І найімовірніше це змінило світ.

6. Завжди хотів створити комп’ютер і ніколи не прагнув до багатства. У якийсь момент ми стали дуже багатими – принаймні, троє з нас. Більше, ніж ви можете собі уявити.

7. Гроші для мене не багато значать. Досить великі суми я віддавав благодійним організаціям, музеям, дітям і на все, що тільки міг.

8. Стів Джобс не задавав напрямок моїм розробкам, але він зіграв важливу роль. Він перетворив їх в продукт, що змінив світ. Я це не заперечую.

9. Якщо вам немає діла до того, що створюєте, іншим людям тим більше не буде діла до вашого продукту.

10. Ті божевільні, хто вважають, що можуть змінити світ, в кінці кінців його і змінюють.

Зараз компанію Apple очолює Тім Кук. Основна продукція: iPhone – мобільні телефони; iPad – планшетний комп’ютер; MacBook Pro, MacBook Air – ноутбуки; iMac – комп’ютери “все в одному”; комп’ютерні монітори, сервери, мультимедійні програвачі, розумний годинник Apple Watch.
