Європарламент підтримав заборону використання одноразового пластику

Європарламент сьогодні, 24 жовтня, схвалив пропозицію щодо заборони пластикових виробів одноразового використання: посуду, пакетів, трубочок для пиття, а також ватних паличок.

Згідно з документом, деякі одноразові пластикові вироби, яким легко знайти заміну, будуть заборонені вже до 2021 року.

Країни-члени ЄС також будуть зобов’язані вже у 2025 році переробляти 90% пластикових пляшок, а виробники напоїв повинні будуть брати фінансову участь у переробці.

За даними агентства Reuters, європарламентарі включили до списку одноразових виробів, що підлягають забороні, також дуже легкі пластикові пакетики, контейнери для їжі та вироби з пластику, що піддаються біодеградації (на думку критиків, вони не розкладаються повністю).

Остаточні правила Євросоюзу щодо заборони пластикових виробів одноразового використання мають бути затверджені після подальших переговорів з країнами-членами ЄС. У Єврокомісії сподіваються, що це станеться ще до виборів до Європарламенту, які мають відбутися в травні 2019 року.
