Продавець дитячих меблів у Британії визнаний судом винним у тому, що семимісячний хлопчик задихнувся, просунувши голову в дірки в ліжку. Сам виробник також визнав себе винним у шахрайстві.

Крейг Вільямс, який спроектував і побудував подвійне ліжко під замовлення, зізнався, що просто взяв проект з інтернету і не замислювався про стандарти, які діють у Британії щодо речей для дітей.

Батько вранці виявив семимісячного сина застряглим головою в отворі ліжечка. Чоловік спочатку був упевнений що хлопчик просто заснув у такій дивній позі, але коли перевернув його і вийняв зі щілини, хлопчик виявився мертвим.

Прокурор на суді заявив, що хлопчик, обертаючись уві сні, випадково потрапив головою в отвір і провернув голову, що не дало йому можливості звільнитися. Дитина задихнулася уві сні, не встигнувши навіть злякатися і заплакати. Слідство встановило, що в ліжку були допущені отвори, які набагато більше дозволених законом.
