У Києві від менінгококової інфекції померло семимісячне немовля. Трагедія сталася в одній зі столичних лікарень.

 

 

Як пише УНН з посиланням на власні джерела в медустанові, у малюка був діагноз “менінгококцемія”.

“Це захворювання є генералізованою формою менінгококової інфекції. Для нього властивий високий поріг летальності”, — уточнили медики.

Повідомляється, що інфекція менінгококу здебільшого зустрічається серед дітей. Перебіг хвороби може бути легким, середнім або тяжким. В окремих випадках інфекція розвивається миттєво. Інкубаційний період складає від 1 до 10 днів.
