Місце сьогоднішньої зустрічі обрано не випадково: на острові Вентотене 1941 року було проголошено маніфест європейського федералізму

Лідери Німеччини, Італії і Франції 22 серпня проведуть переговори на тему майбутнього Європейського Союзу в зв’язку з виходом Великобританії зі складу ЄС. Про це повідомляє сайт канцлера Німеччини.

Ангела Меркель, Маттео Ренці і Франсуа Олланд проведуть зустріч на італійському острові Вентотене.

Сьогоднішня зустріч буде продовженням переговорів, які проходили в Берліні 27 червня. Сторони обговорять підготовку до неформального саміту 27 країн ЄС в Братиславі 16 вересня, де буде порушено питання про подальший шлях розвитку ЄС.

Місце сьогоднішньої зустрічі обрано не випадково: на острові Вентотене 1941 року було проголошено маніфест європейського федералізму, а один з його авторів – Альтіеро Спінеллі – вважається одним з батьків-засновників Євросоюзу.
