Конкурс проходив в Китайському місті Гуанчжоу. Оскільки він відбувався одночасно з самітом G20, то по кількості запитів виявився на другому місці за популярністю після міжнародного політичного форуму.

Корону «Місіс Всесвіт» отримала українка. Але корона потрапить в іншу країну – в Австралію, оскільки саме цю країну представляла українка за походженням Ольга Торнер.

«Для мене це велика честь! — Коментує свою перемогу Ольга. — Всі дівчата були дуже гідними! Ми подружилися з усіма, і тепер в кожній країні у мене є друг! Це прекрасно! Я сподіваюся, що зможу гідно пронести свій титул в наступному році і зробити багато гідних, добрих і корисних справ. Також мені було дуже приємно познайомитися з попередньої переможницею Місіс Всесвіт — Ешлі Бурнхем з Канади «.

У минулому Ольга виступала в музичній групі Podium. Вийшовши заміж і зважившись на переїзд до Австрії, Ользі довелося покинути групу. Зараз дівчина поєднує поїздки до рідних в Київ, і працює ведучою новин.

Зазначимо, що в цьогорічному конкурсі брали участь представниці з більш ніж 70-ти країн світу. Першою віце-місіс стала представниця Зімбабве.
