Рада ЮНЕСКО попередила італійців та жителів світу про серйозні руйнування історичних та культурних пам’яток.

Синоптики зробили невтішні прогнози щодо нової повені у Венеції, повідомляє CNN 17 листопада. Згідно з прогнозами, у вихідні рівень води, що знизився, повинен знову піднятися вище 1,2 метра.

Рада ЮНЕСКО вже зробила заяву, в якій попередила італійців і жителів світу про серйозні руйнування історичних і культурних пам’яток.

За словами генсека Мінкультури Італії Сальво Натасі, ситуація надзвичайно складна і тривожна не тільки за рівнем води, але і за кількістю годин, протягом яких дорогоцінні мармурові підлоги і дерев’яні покриття були занурені в воду. Оцінити збиток від повторюваних повеней в листопаді поки неможливо.

У Венеції був введений режим надзвичайного стану через те, що рівень води піднявся на 1,8 метра. Площа Сан-Марко була затоплена біліше ніж на один метр вкотре за 20 років. Всього було затоплено понад 80 відсотків міста.
