Італія не виключає можливість перекриття кордонів через коронавірус

Італійський уряд не виключив можливості призупинення Шенгенської угоди за необхідності запобігання поширенню коронавірусу.

З такою заявою виступив прем’єр-міністр Джузеппе Конте перед журналістами в п’ятницю, зазначивши, що поки для такого заходу немає необхідності.

«Поки ми вважаємо, що в припиненні Шенгену немає необхідності, але якщо будуть складатися умови, які вимагають забезпечення максимальної обережності, ми готові піти на будь-які заходи для захисту здоров’я населення», – сказав Конте в ефірі на Facebook.

«Ситуація під контролем», – запевнив прем’єр-міністр.

У п’ятницю стало відомо про 14 нових випадки зараження коронавірусом 2019 nCoV в північній області Ломбардія в провінції Лоді (під Міланом). При цьому п’ятеро інфікованих – медичні працівники лікарні, куди був доставлений 38-річний чоловік з гострою легеневою недостатністю.

Італієць, імовірно, міг заразитися від свого знайомого, який повернувся з Китаю. Ще два підозрілих випадки зафіксовано в сусідній з Ломбардією області Венето.

Крім Китаю на сьогодні випадки зараження зафіксовані ще в 26 країнах світу. Вісім осіб померли.
