Економіка Італії рекордно обвалилася

Падіння ВВП Італії обумовлено різким скороченням економічної активності на тлі обмежувальних заходів з боротьби з COVID-19.

Економіка Італії в першому кварталі 2020 року знизилася на 5,3% щодо попереднього кварталу і на 5,4% в річному вираженні. Це максимальне падіння ВВП за весь час з початку ведення статистики в 1996 році, свідчать дані статистичного агентства Istat, оприлюднені в п’ятницю, 29 травня.

Попередні дані вказували на скорочення економіки країни на 4,7% у поквартальному вираженні і на 4,8% в річному вираженні.

У четвертому кварталі 2019 року італійський ВВП знизився на 0,2% щодо попереднього кварталу, а не на 0,3%, як повідомлялося раніше. При цьому до четвертого кварталу 2018 року ВВП зріс на 0,1%.

Споживчі витрати в Італії в січні – березні знизилися на 6,6% у поквартальному вираженні, інвестиції бізнесу впали на 8,1%, держвидатки скоротилися на 0,3%. Обсяг імпорту та експорту зменшився, відповідно, на 6,2% і на 8% до попереднього кварталу.

Рекордне падіння ВВП Італії обумовлено різким скороченням економічної активності на тлі обмежувальних заходів з боротьби з коронавірусом COVID-19. Економісти прогнозують ще більше скорочення ВВП у другому кварталі, який охоплює більш тривалий період загальної ізоляції, введеної з метою стримування поширення COVID-19. У другій половині року економіка, як очікується, частково відновиться.

В останні тижні в Італії стрімко падають темпи поширення коронавірусу і кількість людей, які помирають від нього. Спортзали, фітнесклуби і басейни почали з понеділка, 25 травня, приймати своїх перших клієнтів завдяки старту нового етапу ослаблення карантинних обмежень. Минулого тижня в Італії відкрилися бари і ресторани.
