Життя Саші сповнене переживаннями – спочатку дитина втратила батьківську опіку, а тепер бореться і за власне життя.

Наприкінці лютого 2019 року лікарі повідомили, що Саша Герасимчук має спадкову хворобу, яка характеризується утворенням пухлин – нейрофібраматоз І типу, і в цьому разі він уразив обидві півкулі середніх структур головного мозку та мозжечка.

Дівчинку з її братиком виховує названа мама, тож такий діагноз став шоком для всіх. «На початку березня 2019 року Олександра почала свій нелегкий шлях термінового лікування та курсів хіміотерапії в онкогематологічному відділенні Івано-Франківської обласної дитячої лікарні. За весь цей час лікування Олександра отримала пару десятків хіміотерапій, які тяжко її даються (анемія важкого ступеня, лейкопенія 4 ст., тромбоцитопенія 4 ст). Але лікування має й позитивні наслідки. Зупинився ріст нейрофібром в головному мозку», – розповідають друзі родини.

Тому лікування потрібно продовжити, щоб зберегти життя дитини, але рік лікування виснажив фінансово родину з названими дітками, тому вони вимушені просити допомогу у небайдужих людей. «Коли у Сашеньки буває тяжкий стан, вона завжди заспокоює маму та медичний персонал: «В мене все буде все добре, я обіцяла мамі, що вона буде бавитися із моїми дітьми – її внуками», – розповідають друзі родини Саші.
