Італія відмовилася ввести тотальний карантин, незважаючи на зростання хворих на COVID-19

Влада Італії не розглядає введення тотального карантину в якості засобу боротьби з коронавірусом.

Як заявив виданню La Stampa міністр охорони здоров’я Італії Роберто Сперанца, нової ізоляції в країні не буде.

Він вказав, що нинішню ситуацію не можна порівняти з лютим і березнем, коли відстеження заражень коронавірусом і ізоляція хворих була утруднена.

“Я налаштований оптимістично, хоча і обережний. Наша національна система охорони здоров’я стала набагато сильнішою”, – сказав міністр.

Раніше в Міністерстві охорони здоров’я Італії відзначали, що хоча загальнонаціональний карантин не присутній серед можливих варіантів реагування на ситуацію, але обмежувальні заходи можуть вводитися в окремих районах в разі зростання числа хворих там.

Станом на 23 серпня в Італії діагностували 258 136 випадків коронавірусу. Померли 35 430 інфікованих, одужали 205 203 людей.
