В середу, 17 серпня, у Джидді відбулася фінальна прес-конференція, присвячена реваншу Усик – Джошуа.

Чемпіон світу IBF, WBA, WBO, IBO Олександр Усик з’явився в образі козака.

Олександр Усик поділився очікуваннями від реваншу:

“Хочу подякувати тим людям, які надали можливість тут боксувати. Це дуже важливо для мене, для моєї команди, для моєї країни.

Я вже не перший раз тут знаходжусь, я вже третій раз в Саудівській Аравії і мені здається, я буду повертатися сюди знов.

Я розумію, що другий поєдинок, ми один одного знаємо, Ей Джей подивився наш перший поєдинок. Але мені здається, що це не буде другий поєдинок, це буде продовження, це буде 13-й раунд, 14-й, 15-й… Скільки їх там буде, бог знає.

У нас було достатньо часу, щоб повивчати один одного і в суботу буде дуже гарний поєдинок.

Ми народжені для того, щоб змагатися за життя чи за пояси, чи просто за щось. Хто цього не робить по життю, той не живе. Все наше життя, то є змагання за щось, за когось. От ми і змагаємося”, – сказав Усик.

Бій-реванш між Олександром Усиком і Ентоні Джошуа відбудеться в місті Джидда 20 серпня. На кону в цьому поєдинку стоятимуть титули WBO, WBA, IBF і IBO, які українець відібрав у британця в минулому році. Крім того, спортсмени поб’ються за титул чемпіона за версією журналу “The Ring”, який став вакантним після того, як Тайсон Ф’юрі оголосив про завершення кар’єри.

Трансляція бою Усик – Джошуа 2 в Україні буде безкоштовною! Показ буде відкритим на Київстар ТБ, а також на телеканалі “2+2”. Протягом усієї трансляції вечора боксу буде відкрито збір коштів на потреби ЗСУ. Олександр Усик разом з партнером мають на меті зібрати 1 мільйон доларів, за який буде придбано 100 автівок для захисників та захисниць України!

Збір проводитиме благодійний фонд українського чемпіона Usyk Foundation, що протягом п’яти місяців війни допомагає українцям, які постраждали від російської агресії. За умови, що сума донатів перевищить 1 мільйон доларів, решта суми буде витрачена на продуктові набори, які будуть передані ВПО та людям, які потребують допомоги.
