Чим більше градусів на термометрі, тим частіше про це варто нагадувати. Короткі спідниці, шорти, глибокі вирізи – одягнені таким чином, ми йдемо, вшанувати Ісуса. Проте варто зважати на значимість того, що відбувається під час Літургії.

Тут зовсім не важливо, на вулиці 15 чи 40 градусів, так само, як не надто важливо, куди ви маєте намір піти після або перед Літургією: на озеро, до ресторану або на пікнік. Веб-сайт радить не одягатися на Літургію таким чином:

Жінки:

Короткі сукні або спідниці
Як перевірити, що плаття або спідниця, в яку ми вбралися, занадто коротка, щоб носити її до церкви? Просто сісти! Коли ми сидимо, ми бачимо коліна? Якщо так – це означає, що ми повинні повернутися до шафи і знайти довше плаття.

Шорти і глибокі декольте
Різниця між сукнею і шортами в тому, що останні  взагалі не потрібно вдягати у храм, хіба що у вашому власному саду.

Видима білизна – верхня і нижня
Йдеться про блузки на бретельках та штани з дуже низькою талією. Обидва види одягу викликають проблеми моральні та естетичні. Те ж потрібно сказати і про напівпрозорий одяг.

Штани з низьким поясом
Чому? Бо в храмі досить часто треба ставати на коліна.

Голі ноги, животи напоказ та шльопанці
Влітку, незалежно від того, яка надворі температура, не варто демонструвати парафіянам церкви такі частини тіла як живіт, руки або спину.

Ми повинні пам’ятати, що церква є храмом, а не, наприклад, пляжем. Шльопанці та взуття такого типу, ймовірно, доречне для прогулянки по піску, але не для Літургії. Жінка на Літургії має бути вдягнена у колготки. Голі ноги насправді ніколи не були знаком поваги до господаря.

Тісний одяг
З тієї ж причини, чому ми не повинні носити одяг, згаданий вище, на Літургію не варто вдягати дуже тісний одяг. Легінси, облягаючі блузи або обтягуючі джинси не вдягайте, будь ласка, до Церкви!

Чоловіки:

1. Шорти та футболки.
Короткі штанці – не той одяг, який варто було б вдягати на зустріч із Спасителем. Крім того, доросла людина в шортах? Хіба це личить статусу батька сімейства?

Футболка – зручний одяг для прогулянки на велосипеді, пробіжки або стрижки газону, але не для церкви!

2. Штани з низькою талією
В рамках фемінізації чоловічої моди, чоловіки частіше носять штани з низькою талією. До церкви вдягатися таким чином також не варто.

Одягаючись влітку до церкви, слід уявити, що ви йдете на зустріч з британською королевою – чи ви одягнетесь у  легінси і шльопанці? Чи у футболку і шльопанці? Тож подумайте і усвідомте, що значимість, гідність, слава і велич Христа – Царя Всесвіту – нескінченно більша за будь-якого земного монарха.
