В Італії перебуває під арештом український режисер Євген Лавренчук, якого там затримали за запитом Росії ще 17 грудня.

“Генеральне консульство України в Неаполі надає консульську допомогу українському громадянину Євгену Лавренчуку, якого 17 грудня було затримано в Італії на запит Російської Федерації. Суд м. Неаполь обрав українцю запобіжний захід у вигляді тримання під вартою на період розгляду російського екстрадиційного запиту. За сприяння генерального консульства громадянину було надано адвоката, – повідомив речник МЗС України Олег Ніколенко.

Він додав, що “нині консули та адвокат взаємодіють із італійськими правоохоронцями задля з’ясування усіх причин затримання Євгена Лавренчука та захисту його законних інтересів. 31 грудня нашого громадянина відвідав консул. Умови його тримання під вартою прийнятні, стан здоров’я задовільний. Консули підтримують зв’язок із адміністрацією пенітенціарного закладу та рідними і тримають справу на особливому контролі”.

Євген Лавренчук – театральний режисер, номінант Шевченківської премії, колишній головний режисер Одеського театру опери та балету, ректор “Першої української школи театру і кіно”.

У нещодавно створеній Фейсбук-групі Free Eugene Lavrenchuk пояснили, чому саме затримали Лавренчука.

“Євген, перебуваючи на території Росії вісім років тому, нібито скоїв кримінальне порушення. Наразі італійська сторона вивчає запит поданий з Росії”, – написала Маріанна Гвидічі-Палій.

Вона зазначила, що про деталі справи невідомо, але Євгена нібито звинувачують у фінансових порушеннях на території Росії.

“Сім’я і близьке оточення Євгена дали дозвіл на публічне розголошення справи, розуміючи, що кримінальна справа проти нього сфабрикована, схожа на політичне переслідування, і сподіваючись на підтримку ЗМІ та його колег, які зможуть вплинути на ситуацію і не допустити екстрадиції Євгена Лавренчука до країни-агресора”, – говориться в пості.

Нагадаємо, 8 грудня 2020 року на тодішнього головного режисера Одеської опери Євгена Лавренчука скоїли напад на вулиці Грецькій. Невідомі чоловіки били режисера по обличчю та голові. У нападників був гострий предмет, адже над оком у Євгена – різане поранення.
