Військовий мав позивні “Беркут”, “Рамзе”. З початком антитерористичної операції в 2014 році разом з сім’єю переїхав з Луганщини до Івано-Франківська, де у 2015 році вступив до тутешнього осередку Пласту та став виховником гуртка “Ворони” у 27 курені імені Володимира Івасюка. Був інструктором з картографії та орієнтування, інформують “Лісові Чорти”.

Згодом став членом 3 куреня УСП “Лісові Чорти” в кодлі “Хом’як”.

Учасник вишкільного табору “Лісова школа» у 2017 році. У 2016 році пройшов Крайовий вишкіл виховників №151 в Івано-Франківську та Кваліфікаційний вишкіл дійсного членства №104. Був активний в пластовому житті, учасник, інструктор та співорганізатор пластових таборів, мандрівок, подій, акцій.

Захоплювався їздою на велосипеді, мандрами, читанням та грав на гітарі.

У 2020 році переїхав до Польщі. Проживав у місті Люблін, де активно долучився до розвитку місцевого осередку Пласту. Склав пластову присягу 1 серпня 2020 року у відкритому морі, поблизу міста Хелм, Польща. У липні 2021-го був комендантом найбільшого на той час українського пластового табору в Польщі “Мамаєва Слобода”.

З 2015 по 2019 рік навчався на факультеті математики та інформатики Прикарпатського Національного університету імені Василя Стефаника в Івано-Франківську. Закінчив військову кафедру й отримав звання молодшого лейтенанта.

З березня 2018 по серпень 2019 працював веломеханіком у веломагазині-майстерні REZKO у Івано-Франківську.

З переїздом до Польщі навчався на факультеті управління та менеджменту Люблінської політехніки.

Після відкритого російського вторгнення зголосився до Збройних сил України. Воював як лейтенант у складі 79-ї окремої десантно-штурмової Таврійської бригади. Залишились батьки, молодший брат пластун Арсен та кохана дівчина Настя.

“Тихо спи, брате, без тривог. Нехай тобі буде спокійно біля Вічної Ватри”, — пишуть пластуни.

Прощання з Захаром відбудеться в Івано-Франківську. Час та місце чину поховання обіцяють повідомити додатково.
