Парламент Швейцарії ухвалив закон, який дозволяє одностатеві шлюби.

Як передає Укрінформ, про це повідомляє The Local.

Ультраконсервативна партія «Федерально-демократичний союз» вже заявила, що ініціюватиме винесення цього питання на референдум.

До ухвалення документа Швейцарія залишалася однією з небагатьох країн у Європі, де одностатеві шлюби були заборонені. В країні діяло «зареєстроване партнерство», проте воно не передбачало таких прав, як у шлюбі, зокрема щодо отримання громадянства та всиновлення.

Закон був ухвалений після тривалих дебатів, які велися з цього питання ще з 2013 року.
