Мукачівські прикордонники на ділянці відповідальності відділу «Яблунівка» помітили чоловіків із двома кіньми з гужовою повозкою. Згодом з’ясувалося, що там заховані 15 ящиків сигарет. Їх підприємливі контрабандисти завбачливо обмотали чорним поліетиленом.

Помітивши прикордонників, кілька чоловіків втекло, а одного таки вдалося затримати. Документів при собі він не мав. Разом зі своїми знайомими він планував незаконно переправити контрабандний тютюн до Румунії.

Затриманого для складання протоколу про адмінправопорушення, передбаченого ст.204 КУпАП «Незаконне перетинання або спроба незаконного перетинання державного кордону України», доставили до прикордонного підрозділу. Сигарети також доставили до відділу прикордонної служби, згодом їх передадуть співробітникам ДФС, повідомили у прес-службі Мукачівського прикордонного загону.

Справу щодо спроби незаконного порушення кордону скеровано до суду, який і обиратиме міру покарання правопорушнику.
