Наукові співробітники з Університету Лозанни (Швейцарія) повідомили про те, що мурашки спілкуються один з одним, використовуючи для цього слину.

Швейцарські вчені з університету Лозанни стверджують, що мурахи для передачі інформації використовують щелепи ротового апарату.

Стало відомо, мурахи є комахами-колективістами. Вони володіють феноменальними здібностями до об’єднання і самоорганізації.

В їх колоніях, де проживають десятки тисяч окремих особин, кожен синхронізується сам по собі, незважаючи на відсутність мовлення у цього виду. Однак все-таки у мурах існує механізм швидких контактів. Це трофаллаксис. З його допомогою ці комахи комунікують між собою, поїдаючи їжу один одного.

Так вони зміцнюють колективну імунну систему, а ще зв’язки між окремими членами колонії і її лідером. Раніше за мурахами не було помічено такої здатності (вона поширена у бджіл і термітів), однак, як показали останні дослідження, вона все-таки існує.
