Напередодні Великого посту, у день, який отримав назву Прощена неділя, заведено просити пробачення в близьких і самому прощати тих, хто образив злим словом чи вчинком. Що ще варто зробити в цей день і чого краще не робити – розповідаємо в матеріалі.

Що таке Прощена неділя

Прощена неділя – це останній день Масляного тижня напередодні Великого посту. Увечері цього дня на вечірніх службах у храмах проводиться обряд, який називається Чин прощення. Настоятель, завершуючи вечірню службу, просить пробачення у парафіян, а парафіяни просять у відповідь.

Цей обряд став дуже популярним і в народі, і навіть ті, хто цього дня не йде до храму, просять пробачення у родичів і знайомих.

У Прощеної неділі немає фіксованої дати – вона залежить від Великодня і Великого посту. Великий піст 2024 року починається 18 березня, тому Прощена неділя буде 17 березня.

Прощена неділя – традиції

Прощену неділю також називають Сиропусна – останній день, коли можна їсти перед постом сир та інші молочні продукти. Щоб увійти в піст із чистим сумлінням і легкою душею, віряни просять пробачення – щоб ні в кого не було образ і ніхто не тримав один на одного зла.

Цей день радять за можливості провести в колі близьких людей. І, звісно, не тільки попросити самому прощення, а й постаратися відпустити образи. Добре цього дня також зробити якусь добру справу – допомогти тому, хто чогось потребує, нагодувати бездомних тварин тощо.

Прощена неділя – що не можна робити

Попросивши цього дня пробачення, не слід:

думати про погане;
дратуватися і злитися, починати нові сварки;
тримати в собі непрощених образ – навіть якщо кривдник вважає себе правим, все одно пробачте;
скупитися і скупитися, особливо, якщо просять про допомогу;
переїдати, вживати алкоголь;
влаштовувати гучні розваги.

Не можна в Прощену неділю брехати – будьте щирі не тільки з іншими, а й із собою. Постарайтеся провести день спокійно, щоб увійти в піст зібраним.

Прощена неділя – як відповідати, коли просять пробачення

Коли просять пробачення цього дня, то просто кажуть: “Пробач мене”. Відповідати потрібно так: “Я прощаю, і Бог простить”. Можна відповісти: “Бог пробачить, а я пробачив”.

Але, якщо ви поки що не готові пробачити людину, то краще не лукавити, у цьому разі кажуть: “Бог пробачить”.
