Про це повідомляє Reuters з посиланням на берегову охорону Італії.

Для порятунку мігрантів, які пливли на восьми гумових шлюпках, одному великому човні і двох плоскодонках були проведені 11 рятувальних операцій.

Національність мігрантів не вказується.

Згідно з останніми даними Міжнародної організації з міграції, в цьому році в Італію прибули понад 105 тисяч мігрантів. Більше 2700 мігрантів загинули при спробі дістатися до берегів Італії.
